We’re excited to share another high-flying addition to the Legends of Learning platform! Last summer, we announced our partnership with Rovio Entertainment, bringing the iconic Angry Birds characters into our Learning Universe. Today, that collaboration continues with a brand-new title designed to strengthen students’ understanding of Arithmetic with Decimals.
From blasting through piggie-built structures to solving decimal problems between launches, this game blends the strategy and excitement of Angry Birds with meaningful, standards-aligned math practice. Let’s take a closer look at what your students will experience!
Teachers testing early builds of the game shared enthusiastic feedback:
Mike L. appreciated how the game integrates decimal operations with the classic slingshot gameplay. He noted that “after each level, there is a division problem to solve, which allows for plenty of practice,” making it ideal for independent reinforcement.
Christin O. highlighted its usefulness as an assessment tool. She noted that students tackle addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with decimals, with a quick in-game review for dividing decimals. Students will need background knowledge across all operations, but they stay motivated thanks to the familiar Angry Birds experience.
What the Game Is All About
This adventure gives students the chance to build fluency with decimals as they aim, launch, and strategize their way through each challenge. Every level blends action with academic practice, offering an engaging cycle of gameplay → math problem → gameplay.
🎯 Key Learning Highlights
Students practice solving decimal operations—adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing—in between physics-based puzzle levels.
Short, focused tutorials model each step of the decimal division algorithm: divide → multiply → subtract → bring down → repeat, helping reinforce the standard procedure.
The game reinforces correct placement of zeros and partial products during multiplication, offering scaffolded support without breaking immersion.
And of course… students get the satisfaction of taking down piggie structures and recovering the stolen eggs—motivation at its highest!
A Fun, Skill-Building Adventure
Whether used for targeted practice, review, or informal assessment, this game provides teachers with a dependable and exciting way to reinforce decimal skills.
