About Legends of Learning

The Legends of Learning platform is a marketplace with 2000+ educational games used by over 5M students in 50K schools and growing fast. We are also the creators of Awakening, a 3D multiplayer adventure learning game for iOS/Android/Web. We have headquarters in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD. Our engineering and game studio teams are fully remote.

Our tech stack includes:

  • Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker
  • App Servers: Elixir / Phoenix, C# / .NET, REST and GraphQL APIs
  • Clients: Unity, WebGL, React, iOS, Android
  • Data: Postgres, TimescaleDB, Redis, S3, evaluating Kafka and Redshift
  • CI/CD: Buildkite, Github
  • Monitoring: DataDog, Appsignal, PagerDuty, Pingdom, pgAnalyze

About This Position

As a member of the devops team, the DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer will collaborate to maintain high availability and reliability of our production systems, as well as high productivity and throughput for our engineering teams. This person will build automation tools and CI/CD pipelines; improve our application performance monitoring and log analysis capabilities; architect, orchestrate and optimize our cloud infrastructure, and partner with other engineers to introduce new technologies into our stack. In addition, this person will contribute to application development and/or data engineering projects that align with their particular skills and interests.

About You

  • You have several years experience working on web apps in high-throughput production environments, including cloud infrastructure and experience in multiple areas of our tech stack above;
  • You are experienced with networking and modern web services architectures;

Applicants must be located in the Western Hemisphere and available for full time collaboration on US Eastern time zone. This is a remote position.
