Do you love playing video games?
Have you been using video games to connect with your friends and family amid physical distancing?
Video games create a sense of community and provide another outlet for ways to stay connected and engaged! ESA Foundation wants to hear from you about your great game idea to keep people connected. In this competition, students will compete to design the best video game that promotes storytelling, community, and connection.
About the Competition
Students can work by themselves or in a team of up to 5 students to create a LOCKDOWN submission.
The purpose of the competition is to have fun and be creative. Brainstorming and completion of the design document should take somewhere between three (3) to five (5) hours.
Students will put forth their best ideas and a panel of judges will pick ten (10) winners. Eight (8) runner ups will each receive your choice of a $150 console store gift card of your choice (Xbox, Nintendo or PlayStation) or Amazon and a swag bag with select merchandise from popular video games.
Two (2) grand prize winners will each receive your choice of a $500 console store gift card (Xbox, Nintendo or PlayStation) or Amazon and be able to choose your own premium swag bag with merchandise from video games like Super Mario Party, Minecraft, Roblox, Lego Incredibles and so much more. Additionally, you will have the chance to discuss your winning concept with a game developer at a recognized studio.

The competition will formally open on November 1st, 2020.
All participants must register using the “Sign Up Now!” button above, before submitting their final submission.
All submissions will be due by 11:59 pm PST on December 18th, 2020. Submissions must be sent to email@example.com and in accordance with all provided competition guidelines. Confirmation of submission will be provided upon receipt via email.
The winners will be announced by January 30th, 2020.
