Pre and Post Quizzes with Legends of Learning: Carol Holleran

6th-grade teacher, Pagosa Springs Middle School

Mrs. Holleran is a 6th-grade teacher who uses Legends of Learning for both science and math. “My students are extremely engaged”, she stated.

When  she assigns Legends of Learning activities, their students cheer. They have seen test scores improve after their students participate in Legends of Learning assignments. The teacher appreciates the ability to choose a specific standard to practice, which ensures that their class is learning exactly what they need to learn.

The teacher’s students love that they are learning while playing games. They feel it’s a nice balance between paper, pencil, instruction, and hands-on activities. Plus, they like to take a pre-quiz, do the activity, and then take a post-quiz, which makes them feel very confident that they are learning while playing games. This teacher highly recommends participating with Legends of Learning assignments.
