Expanding the Universe of Learning: Video Lessons

We’re excited to introduce you to our educational video lessons! These will supplement our games with the continued goal of making learning concepts engaging and accessible for all learners.
Our video series is designed to cover a wide range of math and science learning objectives. Each video focuses on a specific topic, offering explanations, real-world examples, and interactive visuals to aid understanding. These videos are created by actual classroom teachers, and we’re excited to preview a few of the first published videos here!

New Video Lessons in Science

Who Eats Whom? – (Food Webs)

Video Description:

Join our teacher in this fun video as she explores nature’s amazing food webs! She shows how plants, animals, and even tiny decomposers work together like pieces in a giant puzzle. In this video, your students will understand how energy moves through this web of life and see cool real-life examples from the backyard to show how everything depends on each other. By the end, kids will see how everything in nature is connected—a big circle of life!

Evidence of the Past! – (Fossil Evidence)

Video Description:

Get ready for a thrilling journey into the world of fossils! The video explores real fossils, revealing how these ancient treasures tell stories about creatures from the past, like dinosaurs. Through engaging examples, it shows how fossils found in special rocks offer glimpses into life millions of years ago. It’s an exciting adventure back in time!

Push & Pull Force Dynamics – (Types of Interactions)

Video Description:

Did you know that the world record for push-ups is 3,249? Whoever made that record sure used a LOT of force! Let’s dive into how things push and pull each other. This lesson teaches us about force—when you push, pull, or interact with things. There are two types: Contact (when things touch) and Non-Contact (when they don’t). We explore how force makes things move, like opening doors or kicking balls. We’ll discuss balanced forces (no change) and unbalanced forces (things move!).

Remember, more force means more movement! So, how many push-ups can you do? Let’s discover the power of force together!

New Video Lessons in Math

What are Equivalent Fractions? – (Understanding Equivalent Fractions)

Video Description:

Hey, math fans! Let’s talk equivalent fractions! They’re different numbers, but they share the same space—like 2/4 and 4/8. We explore how fractions like 1/2, 2/4, and 3/6 are all buddies, representing the same thing. But remember, not all similar fractions are equal—size matters! Equivalent fractions need to show the same whole size.

Multiplication Mania! – (Basic Multiplication And Division Word Problems)

Video Description:

Today, we are going to learn how to solve word problems with multiplication! There are numerous ways to solve these problems, but today we are going to use equal groups, arrays, equations, and bar models.
Keep it in mind: when we solve word problems we can ask the following questions: Who is the story about? How much do they have? What are we trying to find? This is how we solve word problems using multiplication!
