Use the distributive property to find equivalent expressions. Factor to find an equivalent expression using the distributive property. Combine like terms to find an equivalent expression. Use associative property to find equivalent expressions. Use commutative property to find equivalent expressions.
Determine if expressions are equivalent by applying knowledge of rational numbers. Determine if two expressions are equivalent by substituting values in for both expressions and evaluating. If they are equal then the expressions are equivalent.
