Divide Multi-Digit Numbers Fluency Math Games

In this series of games, your students will learn how to fluently divide multi-digit numbers using the standard algorithm. The Divide Multi-Digit Numbers Fluency learning objective — based on CCSS and state standards — delivers improved student engagement and academic performance in your classroom, as demonstrated by research. This learning objective directly references 6.NS.B.2 as written in the common core national math standards.

Concepts Covered

Divide whole numbers with two-digit divisors with and without remainders. Divide whole numbers with three-digit divisors with and without remainders. Decompose the dividend into base-ten units and find the quotient place by place, starting from the highest place. Understand that algorithms for multiplication and division are abbreviations for reasoning about quantities. Estimate quotients and adjust when necessary to be exact. Remainders can be expressed as decimals or fractions.
