Equations Using Angle Measures Math Games

3 games

In this series of games, your students will learn to use facts about supplementary, complementary, vertical, and adjacent angles in multi-step problems. The Equations Using Angle Measures learning objective — based on CCSS and state standards — delivers improved student engagement and academic performance in your classroom, as demonstrated by research. This learning objective directly references 7.G.B.5 as written in the common core national math standards.

Concepts Covered

Types of angles are right (exactly 90°), acute = less than 90°, and obtuse = greater than 90°. Complementary angles sum to 90°. Supplementary angles sum to 180°. Vertical angles share a vertex and have the same number of degrees because they are both supplementary to the same angle. Adjacent angles are two angles that have a common vertex and a common side. When an angle is right (exactly 90), the lines that form the angle are perpendicular.

Write equations to solve for unknown angles. Solve equations for unknown angles using knowledge of angle measures.
