Has being at home changed the way you eat? Are you more or less active than usual? Do you miss playing sports?
Ever think about how your habits influence your health?
In the Healthy Habits Virtual Science Fair, you’ll make a hypothesis about how adopting a healthy habit during COVID can improve your life. Then, you’ll design an experiment and put your hypothesis to the test.
About the Competition
Students can work by themselves or in a team of 2 people to create a science fair submission.
You are not required to submit the physical experiment. You just need to state your hypothesis, describe the experiment, and provide photos of how it was executed.
The purpose of the competition is to have fun and be creative. Brainstorming and completion of the design document should take somewhere between three (3) to five (5) hours.
Students will put forth their best ideas and a panel of judges will pick ten (10) winners. Eight (8) runners up will each receive a $100 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods to purchase items to help with their healthy habits.
Two (2) grand prize winners will each receive a $750 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods to purchase items to help with creating and maintaining healthy habits, as well as a STEM experience with the Medifast team.
All winners will need to sign a media release form for their photos to be used in the press release for the competition.
