Recognize that Earth is made up of rocks. Rocks come in many sizes and shapes. Recognize that water, rocks, soil, and living organisms are found on Earth’s surface. Observe, describe, and compare rocks by size, texture, and color. Identify and compare the properties of natural sources of freshwater and saltwater. Distinguish between natural and manmade resources.
