Patterns of Objects in the Sky Games

In this series of games, your students will learn to make observations based on patterns of the seasons, day and night, and other objects that can be seen in the sky. The Patterns of Objects in the Sky learning objective — based on NGSS and state standards — delivers improved student engagement and academic performance in your classroom, as demonstrated by research.

Concepts Covered

Identify events that have repeating patterns, including seasons of the year and day and night. Observe, describe, and illustrate objects in the sky such as the clouds, Moon, and stars, including the Sun. Use observations of the Sun, Moon, and stars to describe patterns that can be predicted. Observe that some objects are far away and some are nearby as seen from Earth. Know the planets and their order from the Sun.
